Happy new years! We are on our way to start our alpha release. Save/load now will be retained for a week rolling. Meaning that if you login at least once a week the account would be retained. We are not to a point where stats should be retained.
That is where this Alpha release comes in. Building out realtime ladder and balance changes that need to take place. Then locking in our changes for a ladder season to test more the changes with the whole game.
In order to properly do this we'll have to focus on small areas first. The idea is to use the free to play model as a small subset base to expand upon in regions and story. Seeing how each change effects the balance of the game as a whole.
Balance changes like preventing stacking players and npcs at a position. You should be able to clearly see all opponents on the field. Also armies should be able to stop the flow of people directly through them. We may have to enable it back in certain places or create other dynamics to deal with crowds.
We encourage feedback at this stage. Your feedback could help shape the game.
